Northglenn Judo Club won its 38th Annual Northglenn Judo Championship yesterday with 107 overall points, followed by the Olympic Training Squad with 46 points and the Boulder Judo Training Ctr with 37 points. The event was held at the Northglenn High School in Northglenn, Colo. and was attended by over 250 athletes from all over the nation, including large contingents from California and Texas. 

The USA and Great Britain Visually Impaired judo teams also competed in the event among fully-sighted athletes. Visually Impaired athletes who won medals in the event are indicated by (VI) after their last name in the winner's list. In addition, the 90kg (198 lbs.) position on the USA team to the World Blind Judo Championships was won by Andre Watson of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, (Liberty Bell Judo Club) who defeated Scott Jones Little Rock, Arkansas, (Little Rock Judo Club) 2-1 in a best of 3 match fight-off.

The event was a USA Judo elite point event. The Gold and Silver medallists in the Senior divisions earned national ranking points on USA Judo's adult national rosters. In addition, if the any of the top three medallists in those divisions are of Junior age (born 1987 or later), ranking points on USA Judo's junior national rosters are earned.
