Wildcats Collegiate Athlete Travel Fund

 Wildcats Collegiate Athletes Travel Fund 

Announcement

Johnson and Wales University MMA Wildcats have donated funds to establish an Athlete Travel Fund with the Colorado Judo League. The “Wildcats Collegiate Athletes Travel Fund”  has been established by this generous donation to CJL in order to support travel and expenses for competition or training events for up-and-coming CJL Collegiate athletes.

Rocky Mountain State Games 2021

 The Rocky Mountain State Games are less than 2 weeks away!  We are really looking forward to having everyone back on the mat!


Registration is on-line and will also be available at the tournament site on Saturday the 24th.  Walk up registration times and on-site weigh ins are 7:30 - 8:30am for juniors and 11:00 - 12:00 for seniors and masters.  If you are registering for shiai and NOT participating in kata, when you register please put NA in the slots required for name of kata and kata partner.

2021 CJL Events!

Hello all!

 We have 2 exciting events coming up in Colorado in July!

First, on July 10 and 11, Ajax Tadehara will be holding a clinic at Denver Judo. There will be 3 sessions
Saturday:
10am-12pm - Ajax’s tokuiwaza
2pm-4pm - competition strategy, gripping, combinations
Sunday:
10am-12pm - newaza techniques
$60 for all three sessions!

The Rocky Mountain State Games will be the first judo competition in Colorado in more than a year!! We are excited to be able to hold this event.  It will be July 24, 2021 in Colorado Springs, CO.
There will be divisions for everyone - juniors, seniors, and masters, novice and advanced, and kata!  Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate!!

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON 2021 USA JUDO YOUTH NATIONALS DATE RESCHEDULE

 From USA Judo:


Due to the ever-changing situation with the pandemic, USA Judo has rescheduled the 2021 Youth National Championships originally scheduled for March 13-14 at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

The event has been rescheduled to April 24-25 with the venue and hotel remaining the same, the Salt Palace Convention Center and Hilton Salt Lake City Center, respectively.

The entry packet is currently being revised as well as COVID testing requirements. We expect to have this information released to our members within the next few days.
