Passing of Bob Wyatt and Service 3/18/2016

Dear Fellow Judokas and Friends in Judo,

It is with deep sorrow that we report the passing of Sensei Bob Wyatt.

Sensei Mercer writes,

“Bob, along with Sensei Oscar Pate, are considered to be the founding fathers of Hyland Hills Judo.

In 1968 Oscar and Bob started the Westminster Judo Club in Oscar's basement.

In 1982 the club was renamed Hyland Hills to satisfy the Hyland Hills Recreation organization that was sponsoring the club. Bob was always the man behind the scenes. However, he was a vital part to the Hyland Hills judo school’s success. He was my mentor and friend.”

Services will be held at 1pm Friday
